少子化的家庭與校園,普遍施行「愛的教育」,對Z世代的年青人呵護備至。但這層呵護,常像一個透明玻璃罩,讓學生覺得自己在校內的世界與外界職場環境無異。但實際上,在專業知識、能力、EQ與韌性上,卻與職場期待相去甚遠。笑稱自己為傻瓜老師的倪晶瑋,認為導師就是協助學生們釐清現實與玻璃罩間的差異,給予關懷與帶領,讓學生們看見自己的長處,發揮潛能與養成韌性,成功走出校園,在職場上游刃有餘,馳騁遨遊。儘管已教書二十餘載,她仍能領略到與不同世代學生們間教學相長的魅力!
Generation-Z students are pampered as a result of widely-practiced “education with love” due to declining birthrates. However, this gentle treatment can act like a transparent glass shield, making it difficult for students to see the difference between the world inside the school and the environment in the external career field. Yet the truth is that their professional knowledge, ability, EQ, and tenacity are far from what is expected in the career field. Ni Ching-Wei, who calls herself a foolish teacher, believes that teachers should assist the students in clarifying the differences between reality and this glass shield, and should provide care and guidance to help students to see their strengths, while at the same time developing their potential and building up tenacity in order to walk out of the school to soar freely and successfully in their career fields. Although she has been teaching for more than 20 years, she can still speak to the advantages of teaching students of different generations!

設計學院的孩子們,相較於其他系同儕們,常常敏感一點、龜毛一點。這些細膩的敏感度,在陌生的團體生活中往往容易被放大,造成宿舍生活的怨曲與不協調。夜間個人閱讀燈的光線照射、冷氣溫度高低、起床時間的不同與開朗/內向人格特質的差異等,都會加速他們入學前美好閨蜜/兄弟團體生活憧憬的破滅。然而,也就因為這些感知的細膩敏感度,才能形塑學生的獨特性,成就學生作品的與眾不同。導師的陪伴、關懷與帶領,可讓一群似大似小的孩子們,從陌生時的小爭執,學會看見自己,看見別人;學會包容,學會與挫折共處。走出共宿的摩擦與隔閡後,韌性也就增長了一點,校園內學習與職場上成功的契機也多了一些!
Students in the School of Design are often more sensitive and pickier than students in other departments. These sensitivities may be enlarged in strange group life, leading to quarrels and discoordination for life in student dorms. Student fantasies of a wonderful group life with their best friends quickly crumble for seemingly trivial reasons: the light from a reading lamp at night, the temperature of the air conditioner, different times of getting up in the morning, not to mention differences in personality traits. However, it is these sensitivities that make up students’ uniqueness and which lead them to accomplish extraordinary things in their work. The company, care, and guidance of a teacher can help a group of students consider things from the perspectives of others, and help them learn to tolerate others and live side-by-side even amidst setbacks. Their tenacity is strengthened by experiencing the friction and gaps inherent to dorm life, which in turn can increase their achievement in school and the opportunity to succeed in their career fields!
引多方渠道助導生築夢踏實
Using different channels to guide students in building up dreams on a solid foundation
通過每年階段性的專業知識傳授,倪晶瑋老師不僅時常關懷學生的求學狀況,還會不定期舉辦參訪活動,例如:入學時參訪校史室、認識大稻埕、誠品勤美學、陽明山山屋、知名品牌餐飲店、IKEA桃園旗艦店…等,讓學生透過親身體驗、觀察,換位思考自己會如何解決問題與設計營造。此外,疫情無法群聚出訪期間,倪老師也常以Line群組分享學習要領、提供成長相關優質podcast、引入性向與職業諮商探索與海外求學資源…等,讓導生們一點一滴築夢踏實!
Through the annually-staged teaching, Professor Ni cares about students’ statuses, and organizes visits to help them grow. Her class visited the History Museum when they first entered the university, where they became acquainted with Dadaocheng, CMP Village, Y.M. Mountain Lab, famous branded restaurants, the IKEA Taoyuan flagship store, and more. Through personal experience and observation, this experience helps students to put themselves in different positions and think about how they might solve issues and create their own designs. Moreover, during the pandemic when visits were not allowed, Professor Ni shared learning tips, provided quality podcasts related to growth, imported aptitude and career counseling exploration, and provided resources for studying overseas — all via LINE groups — which helped students to build dreams on a solid foundation bit by bit!
學習路上的黑天鵝與彩虹
The black swan and rainbow on the path of learning
不是每個人的求學路都是順遂的、得意的!當路途上出現巨大黑天鵝時,有人可以絕處逢生,華麗轉身,正向跨越到其他科系。然而,也有人陷入黑暗漩渦,求去不得,留下又煎熬。看著導生們不斷在課程、設計評圖與各式比賽所付出的時間與心力,倪老師既心疼又欣慰!讓年青人認識並找到自己長處,走向一條更能發揮所長的道路,才能在淚水與汗水中,甘之如飴!因為設計師的光環,就是這麼辛苦凝聚而成的。
Not everyone’s path to studying is smooth! When a giant black swan appears on the path, some people can find an alternate route in desperation, transferring to other departments and remaining optimistic. Others, however, get stuck in the dark swirl without knowing what to do. Professor Ni feels both distressed and gratified to see her students constantly devoting their time and effort in classes, designing drawings, and entering various competitions. Let students know and find their strengths, as they can only enjoy the hardships in sweat and tears when they advance toward a path where they can use their skills to excel! The halo of a designer is built up through such hardships.
身為校友的倪晶瑋老師,十分認同中原大學將「發揮潛力就是成功」納入教育理念中。因此,協助每位導生認識自己的潛力所在,並適時適地在學習與生活中展現與發揮,就能引導他們一步步看見彩虹、超越自己。她開懷地表示,當自己看到學生隱微、忽明忽滅的光,在次次黑暗漩渦中,倏地浮出閃亮時,總覺得心裡也被瞬時照亮起來。雖然這些光芒,未必是校內的即時反饋;但從畢業數年,由職場上捎回的學生光芒,也讓倪老師感到窩心與幸福!
As an alumnus of the school herself, Professor Ni agrees with the philosophy of Chung Yuan Christian University, and strives to incorporate the idea that “Success is developing potential” into the principles of education. She implements this by assisting each student to learn about their potential in order to present and excel in learning and life, and hopes that this will guide them to see the rainbow and surmount limitations step-by-step. Professor Ni reflects that her heart always brightens when she sees the dimming light of a student rekindling amidst those dark swirls. Although these rays of light may not show right away in school, the rays from students in career fields who graduated years ago also make Professor Ni feel happy and blessed!
