I cannot describe why after couple of months settling down in Chung Yuan, I felt the campus, the surrounding, the teachers and the friends clicked with me immediately. That is why four years seems passing by so fast for me. I did indeed feel somber after the graduation party ended. There were so many memorable events and people interactions that I cannot mention here one by one. However, I could say that Chung Yuan’s environment and her people not only had given me unforgettable memories and stories but also had helped me shape the attitudes needed to overcome prost-graduate life’s challenges. The approach of Holistic Education, the support from the teachers not only academically but also personal life including career plan and the togetherness of my friends, all had contributed to my ability to maneuver in the past 24 years of my life. At this point, I would like to thank Chung Yuan to give me the medium enabled me to prepare for my post-graduate journey.
I am not sure whether I could give any specific advices to my fellow juniors as everyone is unique and everyone should and would encounter different experiences either in university or post-graduate environment. However, since you are already in Chung Yuan, I would suggest you to take the upmost opportunity by absorbing as much as on what had been provided. Be it the Holistic Education approach, the colleges that you are in, the guidance from the teachers, the social activities and the togetherness that Chung Yuan people bring about. Some people might have told you that you will only use 10% or maybe max 20% of what you had learnt in the University. I could tell you that it is not true. For my experiences, you will use 100% of what you had learnt in university be it the technical capabilities, the leadership skills, and the emotional/spiritual skills. For people who said it is not 100%, it is because they rejected to explore, learn and absorb those during their university time. Let me tell you, it is our luck that Chung Yuan has the whole spectrum of learning and medium you need in order to support you in facing the challenges in post-graduate life.
